Synapse Refund Policy
Synapse Florida, Inc. (“Synapse”) has the following refund policy:
Invoice payments are due upon receipt and must be paid at least five (5) business days before the event for sponsors and exhibitors. If this invoice has been received within five (5) days of the event, it must be paid prior to the event. If payment is not received as indicated above, agreed-upon deliverables are deemed void unless the appropriate parties agree otherwise to an exception in writing.
Ticket payment is due at time of purchase of tickets. There will be no open invoicing for tickets.
Due to costs incurred to our 501c3, no refunds will be issued unless a written request is submitted to info@synapsefl.com, evidencing undue hardship or another rational reason, the validity of which shall be determined, and approved, exclusively by the Synapse team. Additionally, no refunds will be issued within the last two (2) weeks leading to the event.
Synapse Media Disclaimer and Policy
Synapse Florida, Inc. (“Synapse”) has the following media policy:
In exchange for access to attend Synapse Orlando and any other Synapse events I may attend in the future, I hereby authorize and grant to Synapse, its successors and assigns, a non exclusive and perpetual right to make and duplicate any lawful use of my Images, except as otherwise stated herein. “Images” includes but is not limited to: photographs, pictures, drawings, digital/ electronic, audio records, and videos where I am visually depicted, or recorded.
The use of the Images may be used for, but is not limited to, one or more of the reasons/purposes described below, specific to Company’s:
- Products
- Public relations, Media Stories, and Events
- Marketing materials
- Advertising
- Newsletters/Magazines
- Website (i.e. Social Media/Networking Websites)
- Photographs, and video or audio recordings
- Brochures/Posters
- Interviews
- Internal Training and Educational Purposes
I understand that the Images may be shared with and viewed by the general public, incorporated into any of the above-referenced Company materials, and licensed or assigned to third parties. Further, I understand and agree that once information is released or published, the Company will not be able to control nor limit the extent of its publication, exposure, republication, use or redistribution.
Covid-19 Policy and Attendee Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability
Synapse Florida, Inc. (“Synapse”) refers to the CDC guidelines for how best to host Synapse Orlando 2022. See: COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation | CDC
We care deeply about the health and safety of all attendees. If you are feeling ill, have a fever or show any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and enjoy the virtual content available through your registration link. For those who attend the event, we strongly encourage mask wearing, regardless of vaccination status. We also ask that you respect others’ decisions and space for physical distancing. We look forward to a safe and fun event on October 21,2022!
Attendee Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability
I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19. I further acknowledge that Synapse will monitor guidance from public health officials and government entities so as to act in compliance with recommendations and requirements for the health and wellbeing of the community. I further acknowledge that Synapse cannot guarantee that I will not become infected with the Coronavirus/COVID-19 while attending Synapse Orlando and associated gatherings (collectively, the “Event”). I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 at the Event may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, Synapse staff, contractors, and people in attendance at the Event. I acknowledge that by virtue of my attendance at the Event, I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending the Event. Further, I acknowledge that by attending I am attesting to and may be required to confirm at the Event, that:
- I am not experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 that would necessitate quarantine based on the CDC guidelines at the time of the Event (e.g., a fever of 100.4⁰F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the CDC) and have not experienced such symptoms in the last 24 hours.
- I have not been directed to quarantine by a physician or local public health authority.
Additional requirements to ensure the health and wellbeing of the community, as determined by public health authorities, government officials and/or Event organizers may be communicated prior to the Event.
I hereby release and agree to hold Synapse, Synapse employees, contractors, Synapse Impact Board members, Synapse Board of Directors, the Orlando Economic Partnership, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and other third parties involved in the Event, and any Event promoters, sponsors, operators, contractors, agencies, advertisers, and/or vendors, and each of their affiliated companies, and any of the respective present and future parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, members, officers, directors, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, agents, insurers, representatives, successors and assigns of each of the foregoing entities and persons (collectively, the “Group”) harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs (including any attorneys’ fees), expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the Group, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with my attendance at the Event. I understand that this release discharges the Group from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the Group with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from the Group.
