When is the event?

The Synapse Summit will take place on February 11 & 12, 2020. 

Where is the event?

The Synapse Summit returns to the Amalie Arena at 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602.

How do I get there and where do I park?

Transportation:
The City of Tampa has partnered with the Downtowner to provide convenient in-city transportation. You can book a ride with Downtowner via their website, http://ridedowntowner.com

You can also use SYNAPSE20 good for 25% off Uber rides up to $5. In your Uber app, go to your menu by tapping the three bars in the top left corner. Choose “Payment” from the menu, then scroll down to Promotions and tap Add Promo Code to apply. Type in the code, and then click “Add.” New to Uber? Sign up here or simply download the app onto your phone and follow the prompts to sign up, and then follow the instructions above to apply the code.

As the city of Tampa continues its renovation of Water Street, we encourage attendees to be mindful of adjustments of natural traffic patterns.

I have my ticket. How do I check in/register?

No printout or ticket is necessary to gain entrance to the Summit.
Check in at the registration tables in Thunder Alley, Amalie Arena’s main entrance plaza, to get your badge and attendee bag. Students and attendees with military discount must bring their ID.

Do I need to RSVP for individual sessions?

No – your General Admission Summit pass allows you entry to all regularly scheduled programming. For VIP exclusive sessions, a VIP pass is required.

Will lunch be served?

General Attendees
Please take advantage of the open design kitchens to purchase lunch. Vegan options available at all locations. Easy Sliders or Steak Station at Section 122 on Level 3 Havana Nights or Dog Gone-it at Section 109 on Level 3 *Vegan options are available at each lunch pick up location

Sponsors, Exhibitors and VIPs
Pickup your complimentary lunch at one of these stations: Firestick Grill (near Section 201) on Level 4 or Talent Hub on Level 1

Catered lunches are provided by Inside the Box catering, a social enterprise of Metropolitan Ministries. Inside the Box Catering serves delicious food and provides culinary arts education and hands-on vocational training to men and women transitioning out of homelessness.

Is there coffee and water available?

Yes! Synapse Summit attendees each receive a reusable water bottle, courtesy of SYKES Enterprises and hydration stations sponsored by AdventHealth. Coffee for all attendees is available on the Ice Level, Level 1, with a VIP barista available, sponsored by InSync Healthcare Solutions.

What NOT to bring?

As the Summit will take place at Amalie Arena, the following items cannot be brought into the Arena:

  • Binoculars are permitted.* Binocular bags are not permitted
  • Video or audio recording devices
  • Laser pointers
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Bottles, cans, or containers of any kind
  • Sharp objects, sticks or poles of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Pepper spray or mace
  • Food or beverage items
  • Drugs or controlled substances
  • Chairs, folding chairs or any other type of individual chair for use
  • Wrapped gifts
  • Large banners or signs, banners or signs with objectionable language banners or signs on a pole of any kind
  • Noisemakers and horns
