This session will focus on concrete ways and opportunities about how to transition our research, UX, and design practice into a more life-centric design.

Being a designer takes a whole new world of responsibility to your work: anything we create with design has an immediate and long-lasting impact on people, your surroundings, and the environment. With this responsibility, designers have the magic wand to play a key role in unlocking the potential of life-centered design within its practices. In the words of [Katharina](https://www.linkedin.com/in/katharina-clasen/), “designers will act as early adopters that will spread the word and eventually make life-centricity the default thinking in design.”

We will assess opportunities for design to transition to life-centricity by looking into the responsibility and power of design, the design mindset, and the behavioral sustainable approach, design tools and techniques, information communication technologies, and environmental impact.
